HIFU guide

How much does HIFU cost in Australia?

HIFU is priced by area, not by session, which is why quotes look so inconsistent until you know what’s being compared.

Consultation about HIFU treatment cost

Why quotes vary so much

The cost of a HIFU treatment can range widely depending upon the size of the area being treated. A lower face is a fraction of the work of a full face, neck and décolletage, so comparing two clinics on headline price alone tells you almost nothing.

Three things actually drive the number: how much area is being covered, how many shots or lines the protocol uses across that area, and whether the price is a single session or a course.

What to ask before comparing prices

  • Which specific areas does this price cover?
  • How many lines or shots does the protocol use for that area?
  • Is this one session, or a package of several?
  • Is a consultation included, and does its fee come off the treatment?
  • Are follow-up or top-up sessions priced differently?

Compare quotes on lines across the area, not on the headline figure. That’s what tells you how much treatment you’re actually buying.

Our published Gold Coast pricing

For transparency, here is what we charge at our Southport clinic. Our pricing changes often, so the live figure always sits on our Fresha booking page, but this is the published guide:

  • HIFU Lower Face: $249
  • HIFU Full Face: $449
  • HIFU Full Neck: $449
  • HIFU Full Face & Neck: $849
  • HIFU Full Face, Neck & Decolletage: $1,149
  • HIFU Decolletage: $900
  • HIFU Thighs: $399
  • HIFU Full Arms: $449
  • HIFU Knees: $449
  • HIFU Stomach: $849

We charge from $199 for 1 area, and there’s currently a HIFU Full Face & Neck special from $388 as well as a $299 package that combines full face and neck HIFU with a facial and LED session.

How many sessions to budget for

Most clients only need a few treatments, spread out 2 to 3 months apart. This depends on the degree of skin laxity, the biological response to ultrasound energy, and the individual’s collagen-building process. Because skin continues to age, future touch-up treatments help you keep pace.

Budget for the plan rather than the single appointment. A clinic that quotes a course honestly at consultation is easier to compare than one that quotes a low entry price and adds to it later.

Is it worth it?

That depends entirely on whether you’re a suitable candidate, which is what a consultation is for. A good HIFU candidate has mild to moderate skin laxity. If your concern sits well outside that, spending on HIFU is unlikely to give you what you want, and a clinic worth booking with will say so before taking payment.

A consultation at e-skin is $50, and it comes off your treatment when you book, so working out whether HIFU suits you costs you nothing extra if you go ahead.

Common questions

How much does HIFU cost?

The cost can range widely depending upon the size of the area being treated. e-skin charges from $199 for 1 area, with a full face at $449 and full face and neck at $849.

How many HIFU sessions will I need?

Most clients only need a few treatments, spread out 2 to 3 months apart, though this varies with the degree of skin laxity and your own collagen-building process.

Do I pay for a consultation?

Yes, it’s $50, and it comes off your treatment when you book, so it goes towards the work rather than sitting on top of it. A consultation is the only reliable way to know whether the treatment suits your skin.
